Default new car question

Hey!

So I got the 2003 Honda Accord EX sedan that I've been wanting (thanks to Jimmy for the info and everyone else).

Now my question.

I put a 10,000 down on the car. The problem is, my dad doesn't want Honda to send the info to IRS...because he doesn;t want them to know where the money comes from. To be quite, I have NO idea what he's talking about.

All he wants me to do is call the HOnda dealership that I bought my car from and ask them NOt to send the info to IRS because he doesn't want IRS to know we put 10,000 down on the car (yes, the money is clean..we didn't steal it or anything =P ).

Do you think Honda can do that? And should we even worry about it? In my opinion, I think my daddy worries too much..but he wants me to do it and I can't say no. ARGH!

it shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't buy the whole car in cash... legally, the dealeship will have to report it, BUT if you happen to know a shady character at the dealership he/she might be able to help you. OC (HINT, HINT!!!)
