Now...I'm a 19 (20 next month) year old White female from PA, who is a NASCAR fan, and i have been since i was ~5. I grew up around it and it was sort of a tradition to watch it on Sunday's with my Dad. Then i got older and started having a life of my own, and i watched it every Sunday with my boyfriend. When Dale Earnhardt Sr. died, i BAWLED everyday for a week. I take it personally when someone makes a redneck or white trash comment when NASCAR is mentioned. It's been part of my life for the last 15 years...Some of you dont get it, so what! I dont see how someone can sit in front of a TV and watch people hit a tiny white ball with a long stick. Then...they go find it while a mass of people follow behind them and clap in the most annoying manner. :dunno: to me, THAT is stupid.
for those of you who are saying the driver doesnt do anything but gets all the credit :blah:...i want to see YOU get behind the wheel of one of those cars and attempt to drive around one of those banked tracks for 400 miles @ 200MPH while sharing the road with 35 other drivers.
Sorry, thats my rant. Ever since i was younger, i could never stand people bashing NASCAR like that. its been part of my lifestyle and childhood years...If you dont like it, you dont like it..ok. but there's no reason to stereotype the people who watch it and enjoy it.

I rather watch NASCAR, then say baseball or football. Football and baseball the end is predictable someone is going to win some one is going to lose. And they all will go home at the end of the game. In NASCAR someone might leave in a bodybag or get injured really bad. The players of both football and baseball are chronic cry babies about money, they don’t even play for the fans anymore. NASCAR events are more geared towards the fans. NFL and MLB have shouldered tax payers in certain cities for paying for new stadiums.
