I never liked Nascar, to me, what's the point in driving in circles.

But I still respect those drivers, I guess drivng ~200mph does take some skill

What if they just drive in the opposite direction?

Too much retraining involved :lmfao:

Doesn't NASCAR run a few road courses?

I'm not much a fan of oval track racing, but it's a uniquely American style of doing things. The Nextel/Winston Cup drivers sure are pretty good though. Some of them have been crossing over quite successfully into the DP class of the Grand Am Rolex series.

Was it Jeff Gordon or Dale Earnhardt Jr. that drove somebody's F1 car and actually did a pretty good job?

I dunno--but Tony Stewart and Dale Jr. were on a team in the Rolex 24 at Daytona and they put in a pretty strong showing. They finished 5th overall and I think the car might have had some mechanical problems.

Jeff Gordon drove the BMW Williams FW24 (or 25 can't remember) at Indy last year in an even with Montoya called trading paint. His best lap would have got him a top 10 start. Some of the Nextel cup drivers are regulars in other series like Kyle Betty, Tony Stewart, Robby Gordon, Dale Jr, etc. Stewart and Dale Jr teamed up with Andy Wallace in the Citgo #2 Daytona prototype in the Daytona 24 and were leading with 15 minutes to go until the rocker box broke. Stewart tried valiantly to drive it on 3 wheels but tagged the wall in the end when the whole rear suspension came apart.

Just because it's scary doesn't mean it should be a sport. :db:

My dad likes it, but I never saw the point of Nascar racing :dunno: Hey guys! Lets all just make our cars the exact same speed and turn left in a circle for 500 laps and see who wins...

pretty freckin' stupid if you ask me. We need WRC and whatnot races dammit!
