why do white people..
You actually need alot of skill to drive in nascar, and I give props to those that do drive asscar but its just not for me. Give me any two cars from different car companys and line em up for 0-60 and 1/4 mile times anyday, This is what racing is about!!!! :fawk:

They do have 2 road courses on the Nascar schedule, but the attendance is lower compared to the ovals. Anyway, it's the second largest sport as far as ratings are concerned. #1 being the NFL. So they must be doing something right. So go watch your road racing, because if you few that DO watch it don't support it there won't be a long future of it. Kart and the IRL are talking about combining just to survive. Even better go watch some boring drag racing. I wonder why AJ Foyt switched to Nascar? And John Andretti?
Oh and call me a redneck all you want. I'd rather be called a redneck than a metrosexual.

Pretty much any form of racing requires skill.
Personally neither oval track racing nor drag racing excites me. I find it funny that so many "import" people bag on NASCAR and oval track racing in general, then talk about how drag racing is so much more interesting. Guess what, drag racing traces its roots back to a bunch of crazy American white folks just as much oval track racing does.
Rally is racing. Acceleration, left AND RIGHT turns, correct equipment choices based on weather and terrain, and trees whipping by at 100 mph.

i have been to a couple of HICKCAR events and i can tell you first hand.....that i didnt "blend" in. maybe it was from my honda t-shirt...but anyhow.... the first and lasts lap were entertaining...the start of the engines...entertaining. all the middle laps.....gay all the crashes...very exciting.
i have been to all forms of racing....except drifting events and rallying. they all get boring in the middle...except for drag racing. and i dont like drag racing because it is so simple. but yet when i am there at the track.....i am so tuned in on which one is going to win.
