I think most everyone does. The only time where that could possibly OK is when the mother, child, or both are sure to die as a result.

You've committed over 8 months so far, you should follow through.

You speak like a liberal...a liberal is on the left. You may not conform to any particular party but your beliefs certainly fall to the left.

personally, i'm pro-choice, but i also know better than to get myself in a position than have an unwanted pregnancy. planned parenthood also takes this position, which is why they hand for like 500 million condoms everytime you visit and try to put you on birth control, but they turn someone away because they don't think about consequences. people should be better educated in birth control and teenagers should have easy access to condoms (like given out in school) b/c hey, kids are kids and they are going to have sex anyway. but unfortunately, most pro-lifers think abstinence is the only way, so instead of compromising to dramatically lower abortion rates, they just sit and pray in front of abortion clinics thinking it will work.
The problem is everyone wants it their way...there is no compromise. Those that support abortion are all for a women's right to choose. But look what happens when the women wants to choose to have the baby. These same people do not want to make it a crime to kill a wanted, growing baby in the womb. Why not protect that right to choose to have the baby as well as the right to choose not to?

Why not give other options than abortion? What does Planned Parenthood do for options other than abortion? Do they help with adoptions? Do they provide orphanage services for those that do not want the child but do not want an abortion? Planned Parenthood should change their name to reflect what they do. Unwanted Pregnancy sounds like a good fit to me.

My apologies if it sounded like I was putting words in your mouth. Just in a bad mood this morning, and am kind of sick of the politics/bush bashing going on.

I can agree with your points on when wars are NOT necessary, I just don't believe Iraq fits into that catagory. Difference of opinion is all...

i'm not sure what point you're trying to get at with women choosing to have a baby, b/c from what i can see from largely growing population rates, plenty of women are choosing to keep their babies. there are also lots of pro-choice places here that help women who choose to keep children under harder circumstances.

and about planned parenthood, they do try to give you other options rather than abortion, as i was saying before, but maybe you missed that part. they give out tons of condoms, make birth control easier to get, and if you decide to get an abortion, they talk to you about it to make sure you are making the right decision. abortion isn't the only thing planned parenthood offers, just so you know.

I was reffering indirectly to the Lacy & Connor Law that was just signed in that abortion groups oppose.

And if PP supports other things than abortion why is it that their main focus is in defending abortion and keeping abortion legal?

because abortion is easier than carrying a child to term. it's all about convenience these days tom.

Protecting the US is not a partisan issue. But if I were to vote on which 2004 party will do a better job at it, Kerry's straight out of the question. Remember how many military bases Clinton shut down? Remember how many JOBS were LOST as a result of that, despite how many he claims to have created? Remember how DEPLEATED and unprepared our armorys were when we needed them? Remember the laws BC passed that prevented us from building an arsenal of technological weapons that save American soldiers' lives? Now I'm not going to say that ALL democrats can't protect us from terrorism (ie: Jimmy Carter did just fine) - BUT - what the hell is Kerry going to do for us? What kind of foreign policy experience does he have? Do we need a strong defense after the attack our country has endured? I say hell yeah. Bush is the man, he's a leader, and I don't need a stinkin' hand-out, so piss on a democrat.
