Yes, let the kids grow up uneducated so they can commit more crimes. Awesome idea, the judicial system thrives on repeat offenders.

In Michigan, juveniles may be charged as an adult for conspiracy to commit murder.

Conspiracy to committ murder carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. For an adult, this is serious but not life-ending.

They buried a .22 cal revolver in a sandbox?

Jeeze, it's a wheelgun, not an AK. They'd have some fun trying to clean it up enough to fire.

A 7 year old understands the concept of killing, but I don't think they can fully comprehend the results or consequences of the killing.

7 is still pretty young to really understand that when people die, they're gone forever. Especially given that with current medical science, most children these days don't lose a loved one that young.

I bet in the trial it will come up that they just wanted to hurt her.
