they did know. They also knew what would happen if they fired the gun, they knew they could inflict serious pain on the girl for emotionally hurting them. If they didn't know, they would not have hid the gun, then wouldn't have plotted the entire attack. Those kids need to go to jail, they want to have adult thoughts, with adult actions, they can have adult punishments.
