i meant the frame and slide. im sure the composite material is sturdy and realible enough, but theres just something that irks me about not having metal. h:

And figure out a way to convince your superiors that you actually need one of those things. Light machine pistols are pretty impractical except for a few limited cases.

A few years ago, I shot both a [9mm] Glock 17 & a [.45cal] Glock 21 at a local shooting range.
FWIW, I was able to get a tighter cluster with the more massive .45. The 9 simply felt too light to me. :dunno: I understand now why many referred to the 9mm Glock as "Combat Tupperware" upon its release.

Just thought I'd share my limited experience.

I fired a Glock 17 (full frame 9mm) a few years ago, I loved the little "plastic fantastic." :dunno:

Yeah, go figure. I have about medium-size hands, and medium build, but for some reason, the mass of a fully loaded Glock 21 translated into better performance for me. Again, let me say I'm a bit of a newb at shooting. So that factors into it as well , no doubt.

Right now?

Ruger P944D(C)
H&K USP 9
Winchester 1300 Defender 8 Shot Pump Shotgun
Misc Rifles.

Glocks are good guns, some of the best out there; I just don't like them myself. To me, a lot of composite guns just dont feel right to me. I know, it's good and accurate and they're reliable, but it's just not my cup of tea.

This H&K... mm.. now that's another story.
