hmm...if she didnt bust her bumper, im sure it was under at least 25mph? the new cars only have 5 mph bumpers and if she was going 30 and hit you, id think u would be injured, especially getting hit on the side. at that sharp of an angle, im not sure that woman would be turning that fast. i mighjt be wrong, show us some pics
either way, if u have to yield, im pretty sure you are wrong. even if she gets a speeding ticket, ur bruised up and the accord is almost gone.

oh well, shit happens. (at least you and the car are still intact, g/l with this!)

My brother gave me a physical with the help of my dad and said I was physically ok. Gosh I feel like an embrassment, my brother works full time and he drove 200 miles to help me. I can't tell him in the right words how much that means to me.

He's your brother. I'm sure he knows. He cares about you even though he may not show it. I know and I'm proud to say my brother would do the same.

Don't worry dude. Things will work out. I was in your shoes several years ago. Young, very broke, and I totalled my car in a snowstorm. Took out 2 new SUVs in the process. Basically I was f*cked and kept thinking why sh*t like that happened to me. Wasn't sure how I was going to get to work, etc, etc. Couldn't sleep at night because I kept obsessing over the accident, about the possibility of getting sued, about insurance and basically how I was going to get through this one. LOTS of stress the 1st few weeks or so getting everything sorted out, but eventually things calmed down and I got into a rhythm. Managed to get by w/o a car for 8 months, and once finances were in order, bought a new car. Looking back on it now, I was very fortunate no one was seriously hurt or killed. Now THAT'S when you're really screwed.

BTW I hope you were nice to the woman and didn't blame her for the accident. Ppl are so sue-happy nowadays, the last thing you need to do is encourage them. The 1st thing I did when I saw the 2 other drivers was ask them if they were OK and say how sorry I was.

I don't think your insurance company is going to go out and measure the skids. My professor last semester was a accident investigator who went out to the scene to measure skids, and find the road surface firction value. alot of information can be found out by using skid marks. You will need a drag sled to find the friction surface value of the street for the caculation. He said he never investigated an wreck that was just a fender bender he charges $250.00 an hour most of his clients where major injury or fatals.

you're leaving out wayyy too many variables. Some things you can't just guess or measure. Like how hard she was pressing down on the brakes. You'll also need her tire size and the tire pressure, etc.

Just using speed = distance/time doesn't work.

You are also guessing on the speed and time.

Lastly, I hate to be the one to tell you but, no judge in their right mind will allow you to submit that as evidence.

Its been the longest day of my life... and things don't look that great at all.

Here are some pictures, they tell the story. Got quotes anywhere from $1300 to $2700 for repairs. At one point I considered totalling the car and getting whatever I could out as parts. Found a door at a junkyard for $265. The place that quoted my $1300 was for a door too, I am hoping they lower that a bit since I am providing the door.

Damages are worse than I thought, my B pillar is damaged. Passenger's side door has a dent. Right now I don't care about cosmetics, I just want to get the car as safe as possible.

Called insurance and gave them my statement, they are dealing with it from their end.
