Yup he shouldn't have had the sig & avatar's enabled, but that mistake along with another guys total lack of regard for the rules led to him getting fired.

I think that the employee's URL history will prove that it was an accident.
As for somebody being traumatised or not, I don't think it's fair to enforce anything other than the very strictest sense of propriety when it comes to material that will be viewed by other people.
Moreover, the answer to turn off avatars and signatures is unfair.
I think that if you belong to this site, you deserve to experience the full richness of it and not be afraid of what your five year old grandson is going to be looking at over your shoulder.

This is why I'm glad HAN has taken steps in the recent month to make sure the Avatars are work safe. I know they can be turned off, but it seems as though I saw a post the other day about how Chris was proud that Honda in another country had linked to HAN. If you think people in this country are touchy, you should see them in the middle east. I believe that's one of the reasons they hate the USA so much.

It's his own fault. Yea woman that complained might be trailer trash and had it in for him, but it doesn't really matter... HE was the one surfing while at work.
It's a risk you take when surfing while at work. You don't know what that next click will bring you untill it's already too late.
