ohnoes no 3G for us :(
The industry makes what the consumers buy. Most people out there buy a cell phone because they need something to talk on. There's also a pretty big demographic slice which is constantly buying new phones. How many people on h-a have a whole assload of different phones, or have owned more than one phone per year?
Another thingto consider is the party girl factor. Since they don't have any pockets they're constantly losing their phones. :chuckles:

Vodafone is in a very fortunate position. They could have forced Verizon to buy back their 45% of Verizon...which would have been a huge, colossal pain in the neck and set Verizon back for a couple of years.
It was better for both Vodafone and Verizon for Verizon to cooperate with Vodafone and give them more control.
Vodafone control of ATT wouldn't have helped them in the US market any more than their 45% stake in Verizon...it's only going to get them farther ahead by sticking w/Verizon.
