Default I might not graduate :nervous:

:madfawk:

I went in to the admissions office to apply for graduation and was told I didn't have a class I needed to graduate. It seems I don't have one of the technical electives I need in order to graduate. Well I do have it because the class they don't want to count is one my advisor told me was ok to take, I applied for graduation last semester and was told everything was ok and I was all set. But I decided to push off graduation for a semester.

Well I am royally screwed... its too late to take another class because the deadline for registering for a class was last month. My status as an international student is in jeopardy because I am not allowed to be parttime for more than one semester, this semester I am parttime because I really don't need any classes and am taking a few classes that I wanted to take but couldn't. Its amazing I pay $25k a year and I don't get the bare minimum of advising that I expect.

Oh well I sent an email to my advisor and now I gotta sit and wait for the next thing to screw up.

Good luck... did they happen to change the graduation requirements on you? I had that happen mid-way through my undergraduate degree. When I went to get cleared to graduate, I ran in to the same thing. It took a little work to remind them that I could still graduate under the requirements I started under.

The whole idea where you have to "apply to graduate" is just stuipd. Tell them it's a stupid idea and your going to print out a certificate from your own printer and fack their red tape bull shit.

Its sad... you pay $100k for an education. Plus pay around $150 per book... comes to $6600 for me. And they still want you to pay to graduate. Gosh sometimes I wonder whether this education thing is just plain overrated or not.
