which riding jacket?
i like the second one :bigok:
i just ordered http://www.joerocket.com/catalog/ite...roducts_id=127 in red for this season since mine got trashed in the wreck
btw.....if i didn't have mine on when i wrecked the doctor said more than likely, my colorbone would've been broken...maybe multiple breaks!!! as it was, the ballistic padding in the shoulder saved me & i "only" seperated it.
this is what i had before http://www.joerocket.com/catalog/ite...roducts_id=223

just my $0.02..i know you have more riding experience and have worked in the industry.

My thing is, sometimes I want a jacket that can withstand some rain, some dirt and grime, as well as breathe reasonably well during hot days when I'm just taking a short run down to the store or something (and consequently don't want to put on my one piece leather) but still have protection. That's the real benefit of textile. Water Proof / Resistant (depending on the one) and they're generally "cooler".
Overall though, for your only jacket, I do agree; go Leather.
