thats a tough one to use. always follow the tutorial step by step for what you are doing. it takes a while to get the hang of it.

btw, gordianknow > * . xvid > *. divx is sooo twentieth century :chuckles:

you not be able to copy those new DVD Movie, they have some kinda copyright technology on the disc, so.... can't even be copy.

dvd decripter, along with several other softwares, decript them.

ok, im using "dvd decripter" to copy the whole DVD onto the harddrive. but it comes in as a whole bunch of funny file extensions. besides "gordian knot" what can i use to change the files into something that WMP can play? thanks

i also noticed that the files are huge. when i convert them to avi or mpeg, will they strink or let me decide how much to compress the files?

you can choose how big you want the files. i usually aim at ~690 mb so i can burn it onto a cd. anything bigger, and you would have to burn it to a dvd, which cost adds up after a while. average movie @ 690mb is pretty good quality, if done with gordian knot.

iirc, you can play the video_ts.ifo file with wmp, and it plays just like playin a dvd, w/ all chapters, menus, selections, etc.
