I don't understand some college students
im a little bit worried aboot leaving college. what to do? where to go? college isnt so bad if you take it easy and pick the easy classes your friends recommend
its even better if you take the same class they took and recycle the test :rick:

Personally I can't stand having homework, dealing with grades, not having a steady income, and having to PAY to be there. I can't wait to get out on my own and start MAKING money instead of spending it.
Any opinions?

Sure you have to pay tuition and nobody really likes writing papers or taking tests, but there's so much other fun stuff to do while here. I mean, I sleep late, I go to class, I do homework, do a part-time job, and the rest of the time I can go out and party like a wild man and be surrounded by nubile young females with lowered inhibitions. Out in the real world they're less nubile, less young, their inhibitions aren't as low, and you have to actually take them out on dates! I mean who wants to do that? In this town at least, a date means you meet up with a girl before you get drunk instead of meeting after you're already drunk. I don't have to worry about a stupid boss, I don't have to worry about shitty coworkers, I don't have to worry about not getting promoted, I don't have to worry about the mortgage, or the investments, or the piles of other real-world things that need to get dealt with. I'm in a professional state of limbo fueled by junk food and alcohol. What's better than that?

i think those are the kindof people who have been preparing for college through their entire middle school and high school life only to be disappointed when it last 4 years. i know so many people like that. they get good grades atleast.
ill be so happy when im out of here personally. i hate not being independent and i really just hate homework.

I'm almost 25, and I haven't finished yet. I'm absolutely dying to get back into school, the real world tends to suck.
My sis-in-law is applying to grad schools, because she's terrified of the real world. She's a senior this year, and she says she'll do anything to avoid being out of school.
My husband is in grad school, not because he's avoiding real life, but because he wants to further his education. After this is finished, he's even talked about going to law school. I think it's great that he's so interested in school, and I've told him that he can stay in school as long as he wants, as long as he's done before we start having kids.
Some people aren't cut out for college, and rush to get out. Some are afraid of the real world and stay in school to avoid it. Some love school, and would be lifetime students if they could be. Everyone's different, and there's no shame in any of those choices.

it's been four years since i've been in college. they were fun times, but i accepted the fact that i had to move onto another phase of life.
if you're doing well with your career, chances are you won't miss it that much. i've been successful so far, which has cushioned the blow from waking up at 12 everyday and partying, to becoming a corporate whore.
