My current roommate is a friend of mine and we've had no problems.

yeah its kind of odd. If I were over her it would be a lot easier...but as of right now I'm not. She's expressed interest in another guy, so I'm not sure if she's going to start dating him or not. Eventually I'll get over it. She's still my best friend so I think I'll be ok. I care more about her as a person/friend than I do as a girlfriend, so I wouldn't let someone else or even myself ruin what good friendship we've got.

Yeah right, you've just convinced yourself of that because you still want to :boink: her.

I'd say it kind of depends on what exactly you mean by a friend when you say you live with them. In my case, my current roommate is a guy who I originally knew through my job and ended up as sort of a poker/drinking buddy of mine. We're both big lazy dudes who like to relax as much as possible and in general are pretty easy going about stuff. Since neither one of us cares too much about stuff like, oh, buying groceries or mopping the floor, we don't have issues about that. Now, if it's friends who are friends but have less compatible personalities for a living situation that can present problems. I mean, I have one particular friend of mine who gets pissed off about everything and I just laugh my ass off when he does because it's so typical. I wouldn't want to live with that guy because he'd never want to speak to me after we got done living together. I got another friend that always whines about stuff he thinks he deserves when he really doesn't and nobody wants to tell him otherwise so he keeps on thinking that. Reall genuine, good-hearted guy but I wouldn't want to live with him either. I think if it's someone you know you can live with and not just someone who you're friends with then it's fine. I've certainly had my share of random roommates and I can tell you I'd much rather live with people who I know stuff about.

i think me and my best friend (he is also my business partner) could live together with no problems,..know him since 5th grade and we have never had a fight among friends,..we get along really well and we never argue about anything,..and we see each other everyday,..but id rather just live with my girl (who is living with me now) and we are gonna get our own condo in a month or so from now
