Its been a while since I have added any hard drives or swapped any around so I need to know what the master pin setting is on a Maxtor drive.....can't seem to find the paperwork around anywhere.

:::::::::::::::::::---:::.:---oooo

The first 40 = ide signal pins the next 3 should be the master/slave/cable select, the next two are not used and the last 4 are the cable

you want a jumper on the bolded pins

Thanks Rick.

I checked the drive out and wouldn't have asked if it was simply labeled on the top of the drive

Yeah I checked there too but this must be an older one because there was no markings for any jumper settings at all on the drive....it's an older 10 gig I am reformatting for video storage (damn I use too much space)
