Default my home hard drive is fried.

It sucks, but my home computer hard drive is now toast. the good thing is a new one cost about $60 after rebates. My sister the computer guru has XP ready to install on the new hard drive. I guess ME has a ton of problems and because I had to keep turning my computer off it messed up the hard drive and I got a ton of bad sectors. Have any of you ever had to replace your harddrive cause you old one just stopped working?

Me is HORRIBLE. Considered my most of the tech community to be the biggest pile of crap MS ever put out.

Right after they started Me, all the guys that knew what they were doing were working on XP. Me was just hold people over to XP, and it was just a shitty 98 with a few random features, but had massive memmory leaks, and errors

Me was originally on my computer when I got it about 2 1/2 years ago. It didn't take long for me to *cough* aquire *cough* a version of XP. It had just come out then too. :wiggle:

I picked up a Western Digital HD today. I've heard bad things about the maxtor hard drives. they crap out and are very noisy. I can't wait to get it all installed and running again. its going to suck to download all the media players, and finding good porn vids again. :naughty:

all hard drives are pretty much the same. it's only when you go scsi that they really differ. (although, IBM hd's are said to be the best ide drives....atleast, that's what i've heard).
