Camera guys, need some help
well for basic pics, composition and lighting is probably the most important.
like others said, if you want to take night shots get a tripod.
for day time shots, try to pic a day whe the sun isn't shining bight. over cast days are probably best for day time pics.
besides that be creative with the angle but please, I beg you do not to the MTV angles or stunner car website angles. You know like extreme close up of one part of the car or the camera turned 45 degrees from the ground. those kinds of pics make me go bleh.
lastly learn what your camera can do and what it can't do and choose the composition that will allow your camera to do it's best

I do that for action pics but for static display pics I usually pic one of two best angles and play with those

and thank you for not having a stunner pic in your avatar

That guy taking pics of your recent autocross had a pretty good shutter speed, decend combination of focus and motion.

A little ambiant light is neccesary, but it doesn't have to be bright. For a cool effect, take the pic in a traffic area, check the blurred head and tail lights in this pic. (Since it's snow, ice, and salt season here in Ohio, I have my 18" wheels off, and some 15" alloys on)
ooooo nice
See, my night pics were all grainy... looked kinda bad. A few were blurry too.
I need to just go out and mess with the different settings I think.
Is it the lower the number, the longer the exposure?
