Heh... I was thinking Airforce myself... My family has a history of pacifistic service with the armed forces (My father served as an engineer on mid-air refuellers out of Alaska, and my uncle served in the Marines Band

I still think about it every once in a while, because it would be a stable job and, with my college degree and some hard work on my part, I think I could do well in intelligence...

They are trained to follow orders and kill. Not trained to be compasionate.

I guess I see it as a form of self defence. If we don't kill them they will kill us. It doesn't matter what POV I have or anyone has. Nobody on this board is making the decision to kill those people.

Some people are against killing and think that things can be worked out. Some people don't think that. It's america and we have all kinds of people.

There are some people that have been given another chance and just should not be around. They are a threat to others. Same reason we have jail, killing them is just a higher level of punishment.

I was thinking chair...er.. I mean Air Force as well.. because of my older brother's vast career and advancement through out the AF. But I was also leaning towards the Marines as well.

I'm still glad I came to my senses.

i definetly see your point, but like it was said, those guys are soldier, trained killing machines that have been trained for those situations and to do exactly what they are told. If it keeps us safe and they're doing what their commander feels is necessary, then more power to them.

Obviously the tone would change in here if the roles were reversed. Lets just be happy that they're not and we dont have to deal with that on a day to day basis.

Im curious as to how a video like that got out and was put on the internet? Some things just arent meant for the public to see.

The soldiers did what they were supposed to do. Engage in warfare. Their mission was to kill, and they did just that. There's nothing chilling about their calm manners. In fact, it's good that they are calm considering the firepower they commanded.

I agree and I will defintely cheer that my fellow American brothers are safe and alive. However, at the same time I mourn the death of another human being.
