Best thing to do for a speeding ticket
Probably not. Minor stuff like car color, even car make can be changed in the courtroom. So "Honda MDX" and "Nissan Mustang" isn't enough to get the ticket thrown out...they'll just correct it. What IS enough is if they write the wrong date, or wrong tag #, or something like that. Often things like that get thrown out before you even get to the trial stage. They'll call you or send a letter saying "This charge has been cleared due to administrative error" or something like that. But that's fairly rare.
By the way, what is "30 day driving priviledge"? Can't drive for 30 days? Can only drive for 30 more days? I've never heard of that.

pleading not guilty gives you a chance. if the cop doens't show up for court, usually you win. when i went to traffic court, the clerk did a roll call with the cops and the cases where the cop didn't show got immediately and automatically dropped, no questions asked. about 40% of the cops didn't bother showing up. that's how it works where i live.
so anyway, i plead not guilty, judge found me guilty, and reduced my fine by almost one-half. it all depends on the judge.

my friend pleaded guilty when he made an illegal u-turn
no fine, no points, no skool, jus had to observe how many ppl make illegal u-turns at that part where he receieved a ticket for an hr.

how long ago was that? because now they just reschdule your ass and you have to show up a second time.
the best thing imho if your state allows, is a Trial by Written Declaration.

Don't plead guilty unless you have a lawyer who has talked to the DA prior to making your appearance. I had two tickets, 54 in a 35 and 100 in a 55, was facing 15 points, loss of license until I turn 18 or even 21, and over $800 in fines. I ended up with ZERO points, $225 in fines, $40 for traffic school, and the best $150 I ever paid...to my lawyer.

I went to court today and pleaded not guilty for speeding 85 in a 65. 20mph over is $341 fine, 30 day restriction and no traffic school.
