Wow, the level of ignorance that some people exhibit just amazes me

i guess i could see why a cop could think we were racing, but he never sped up. It was only me that sped up. The fact that i drive an integra with exhaust and he drives a prelude with exhaust cant help.

The problem you have is that it does indeed look like you could have been racing. You were side by side, then one of you sped up and got in front of the other car. Unfortunately because your case is so ambiguous the only way you're going to get out of it is if you get a lawyer because a county prosecutor or whoever will be there representing the government against you is not going to cut a deal with some kid in a modified car. It also sounds like the cop was influenced into giving you guys tickets because of the cars you were driving.

the 3 steps that worked for me in getting off on my ticket (55 in a 35 school zone)

1. be nice to the cop, even if you know your innocent ( i know i did, a school bus passed me in the school zone )

2. get a lawyer

3. get the DA who is friends with your lawyer

end result: 40 in a 35 non-school zone. no insurance points. and a slap on the wrist

I am 23 w/ no tickets I got pulled over Sunday night doing 89 in a 70 and the cop was like I paced you. He was riding my ass so I sped up couldn't tell it was a cop, unmarked. So he pulls me over I roll down my window have my dome light on and ins and drivers license out. Cop says nice car I'll be right back. Comes back like 2 minutes later and says, "I'm not saying it's ok to drive that fast, but here is a warning have a good drive." So I proceeded to do the speed limit the las 100 miles home on my 600 mile drive.

remind of of the New Celica Commercials :chuckles:

btw, get a lawyer, if the cops can't prove nothing, then u're not doing anything wrong

btw, for cases like that, It'll only cost about 300 - 500
