I would be curious to see how the film turns out though, and it would definitley depend on the weight of the camera because the camera he is using is very small and light.

i use a full size video camera and now am using a mini DV which would most likely add to the bounce that is experienced through PVC tubing.
true...

I watched the vid, and it seemed pretty smooth:

Not bad actually...I was expecting quite a bit more bounce to it but it seems steady.

Of course the camera is very light as I said before so a heavier cam would be screwed.

yep, maybe adding a length of PVC to prop it against the back seat may help too...

Sorry not trying to keep shooting holes in this but it would work against you.

It would pick up more road vibration and any bump would be magnified through the rest of the frame.

true, true. seeing how PVC pipe is cheap, and easily available, it wouldn't hurt to try in my case...

No not at all try it out and post some results I am curious to see different configurations and its stability or lack thereof...eventually we will all get it down to one solid and inexpensive workable DIY.....which means some fun footage to share.

lol, now I need to see if I can borrow that camera unless everyone will be satisfied with a 160x240 video with no sound from my Olypmpus C-4000
