Default Car Cam?

Trying to find a car cam setup for many different cameras to get different angles and such. Something that can be recorded on a lap top with a vid capture card. Not the Cone Cam system.

Anyone?

hmmm what were you thinking exactly because I have a setup that goes between the driver and passenger seat for the main shot on my camcorder then I have a remote "bullet cam" I can mount in my grill to capture images on my laptop.

Usually capturing directly to your laptop doesn't work out the way you may think since the hard drive doesn't like huge chunks of live capture video fed into it at once and on occasion will dump the video you just tried to capture.

I would say get a small portable VCR (I know its not digital) plug it into your cars electrical and patch a small bullet cam into that....of course multi angles require multi VCRs

A how to on the camera mount between the seats I can have for you in an hour or so if you want it though.

I can also show you a sample of the image stability with my setup if you like...the quality isn't real great because of the analog to digital transfer though.

Best way to go about it is to use a camcorder mount and the camcorder of your choice. Some mounts put the camcorder between the front seats, others stick up out of the sunroof.

The prebuilt setups cost anywhere from $150-400 which is ridiculous....mine cost me about $20 total.
