My friend is a CNC Machinist (sp? it's late, me tired) so I could get him to make a nice fancy in car mount.
Or I could do something myself seeing has who I'm going to school to be a mill write.

Maybe it's just me but I'd pay the $150 or whatever for the nice CNC milled billet aluminum piece as opposed to building my own thing out of 20 bucks worth of wood. But hey that's just me, and that's assuming that the company that builds the nice spiffy ones is indeed reliable.
Of course, I am a bit of a camera dork so I'm more willing to pop for that kind of thing.

Ok guys. i made myself a camera mount using PCV piping and a T-section connector. it looks like this:
I used the head rests to secure the mount.
The camera sit perfectly on the mount, and screws into the tripod mount on the bottom of the camera.
Im not sure how to post the movie as a link, but here is the url to DL it. *****MOVIE
The was made with this camera. it shoots with volume, so that was what i was listening to as i drove. Given, it was about 40 degrees and had just snowed. my Azenis are going bald at 13k of hard driving. i was not pushing hard.
**** Im not showing off here, this is my first movie, they will ony get better from this*****

I would be curious to see how the film turns out though, and it would definitley depend on the weight of the camera because the camera he is using is very small and light.
i use a full size video camera and now am using a mini DV which would most likely add to the bounce that is experienced through PVC tubing.
