Default It does pay to complain..

I bought a new Samsung picture phone from sprint a little less than a month ago. When i bought i was told about a $140 rebate for buying the phone..once I got the phone they told me that it was only for activating a new account that you could get the rebate..I bitched about how I've been with them for over 4 yrs and how I was told by the SPrint store people I could get the rebate since I hadn't bought a new phone in over a yr etc etc. Well i just got an e-mail from them saying that:

"Thank you for contacting the Sprint PCS Rebate Center. You are a
valued Sprint customer, so we are pleased to inform you that we have
updated your record. Your rebate submission is now valid. Please
allow 4 to 6 weeks from the end of the required activation period to
receive your rebate."

:wiggle: :wiggle: YAY!!! i'm getting my rebate!!!

its a computer generated angry customer pleaser.... you wont get the rebate cause in 4-6 weeks you'll forget all about it. :chuckles:

Naw...I'm not getting the full $140 that the new customers are getting.but i'm still getting $65 which is better than nothing...that still pisses me off though..i told them i would cancel my account and just open a new one if i had to..h:

haha... only 65 of the 140? thats not even half... and its easier to forget about

$65 is $65 no matter how you slice it..it's better than nothing espeically around x-mas time

Customers do get what the want most of the time. My gf works in customer service for Braun/Gillette/Duracell and people basically take advantage of "the customer is always right". I really hate the general public. A lot of people are very dishonest. In your case, though, you were misled and had a right to complain. Every time I've dealt with mobile phone service companies they're always really shady. Now I have a pay-as-you-go and I don't really have to deal with them. Although, they just gobbled up about $15 worth of minutes I had because I hadn't "topped up" aka bought more minutes, in the past 90 days. How is that for customer service.
