i live in maryland, rather close to where some of the shootings occurred. as a nova resident, george, i'm frankly surprised at your attitude toward this manner. personally, i didn't enjoy being scared to death to walk from the car to a store, worrying about being shot to death, every day for three weeks last october. it was horrifying, and terrifying.
mohammed is clearly insane. i don't think locking him up for the rest of his life is going to accomplish anything. he won't suddenly feel remorse for his crimes and attempt redemption. i think he should be shot, just like he killed all of those innocent people, in places that won't kill him, but only make him suffer. *then* we can kill him.

1. If he's insane, he is not culpable.
2. The law requires that an individual about to be executed fully understand what is happening to him and why.

Vengeance might not have anything to do with justice.
It's hard to decide.
At least for this writer, it's hard to decide if we should ever take a life in cold blood.
I resolved and, unfortunately, proved I could take a life in defence of another's, but killing after the fact won't bring back the victims.
