i don't think locking him up for the rest of his life is going to accomplish anything. he won't suddenly feel remorse for his crimes and attempt redemption.
I think that the opponents of capital punishment as it is currently practised in the United States are more concerned with making a mistake than they are concerned with the convict's redemption.

i think he should be shot, just like he killed all of those innocent people, in places that won't kill him, but only make him suffer. *then* we can kill him.
Although I am sure you are a citizen of the United States, you seem to be unfamiliar with the Virginia Bill of Rights, a document that was incorporated into your Constitution as the first amendments before it was ratified.

Vengeance might not have anything to do with justice.

It's hard to decide.

At least for this writer, it's hard to decide if we should ever take a life in cold blood.

I resolved and, unfortunately, proved I could take a life in defence of another's, but killing after the fact won't bring back the victims.
