If i had the money, i'd go with the old GMC cyclone and put a little money into the motor, including a bigger turbo. An AWD truck with turbo. That is crazy retarded power.

I'd rock a mid to late 60's Camaro or Mustang. h:

The car would have to handle better than some of the big old cars for me to put money into a new project right now. That said, a Mustang would do well for me. I think I'd stick to the imports though. I think about FI BMWs a lot lately... At some point though years down the road, racing will take a back seat to style, and I'll build some slammed/chopped 40's Ford. I'll take a classic hot rod over a muscle car any day.

I had a mustang for a while...I like it and it was fun to drive...but I was living in NY at the time and there laws are so strict I couldn't put any more power into it then what it came with...and as soon as I realized that I couldn't add anymore power to it the car I realized it sucked too...I still like muscle cars...I just hate emmission laws

Yeah....it's not really fair to compare an old import to getting a new domestic. You have to compare getting an older import vs. getting an older domestic.

Seriously though, provided you are technically inclined, you can make a much faster domestic vs. an import for the about the same amount of money. The domestic may not have the best handling around the twisties due to their size and weight, but the power in those things are amazing.

69 Chevelle SS 454
2001 Camaro SS
Old school Novas, Camaros, etc...Chebbie!

New Camaros, Vettes, Trans-Am, etc...

I rather have a muscle car than an import.

they are two different types of cars. chances are, a muscle car will kick an import cars ass. if it were to be a drag car...a muscle car would be it. if it were to be a track car that includes turns, i doubt anyone would be using a nova.

for a daily driver....thats a different story. the look and the potential of the new cobras are....

I was thinking the same thing when I saw his post. Good catch Rick.
