Comp peeps.... is it possible
to have two internet connections on one computer. For example, modem and the normal LAN connection?
I want to see if I can bypass the company ban on AIM.

you speak of bonded ip address. There is software that will regulate packets coming to different IP's and load them, but it's a bitch to configure properly. It's not worth the hassle.
you can install a NIC.

configure AIM to run on port 80 ... unless they blocked access all together to aol.com. That's possible with Windows 2000 Server security.

yer admins are pretty good. That means they possibly used blocked the DNS entry for *.aol.com unless you can go to http://www.aol.com and try aim express
If you have a Broadband at home, and if you run windows 2000 server or windows xp at home you can install terminal services and connect to your home computer from work.. Then you can use all you want as if you were at home.
Thats what I do I work
