And I'd say out of the many Japanese resturants I have eaten at that there is only one that is ran by actual Japanese people. And I know this because Lauren speaks Japanese and can tell whether the people speaking to each other are Korean or Japanese.
This one time she told this guy sitting near us that she speaks Japanese and than the guy asked the waitress if she did and in an embarassed look said "no."
Miso is fermented bean kurd. Korean miso is called denjjang. It's just a different bean. It comes in big jars. I haven't tried eating a spoon of miso yet, but I'm sure it would be a party in my mouth where everyone's invited.
