it's simpler than that

it's an oval skip pad exercise where you keep the steering wheel in one angle.

when you accelerate the front tires are sliping because the weight will trasfer to the rear, thus the car will understeer and go wide, when you lift off the throttle the weight will shift back to the front, thus gaining traction and the front wheel will grip and turn.

throttle lift oversteer. I need to learn to practice that next time

lol, a more extreme case of that happened to me when I slammed on the brakes, locked up, did a 180, and managed to flat spot my front tires At least I didn't miss that gate!

I'd rather kill that single cone rather than spin.

1 cone = 1 second

spin = 8-10seconds
