He makes a little more than I do, but no, it's not an issue. If I'm a little short, I know I can ask him to please cover me, and the opposite has happened in the past (he needed me to front him some $), and it's not a problem. However, since we are married, and we were engaged before we ever moved in together, I think our situation is slightly different than yours. :dunno: We almost never let money issues cause strife between us.

we have a joint savings for housing emergencies and the mortgage as well as shit neither of us want to buy, (new faucet and vacuum today, for example). we have our own personal accounts and we settle most things 50/50 as we make within a few grand of one another.

I had a joint account with my ex-gf. After we split up she withdrew all the funds out of the account before I had a chance to close it. Thing is I worked and she didn't so she took all my damn cash. Since she was on the account there was nothing I could do to get my money back. Lesson learned. With my current gf (over 4 years together) we have separate checking accounts and a "joint" savings that is in my name. I feel a lot safer with this sort of setup after the ex burned me.

although we dont live together, i added errol's name to my account...jus in case he ever needed a few bux...but so far..instead of taking money out..he's put $ in for me...

i also asked him to keep some of my $ in HIS savings account because i closed my savings wen i bought my car..and i am too lazy to open a new 1

i know most people would think that i am crazy for doing that...but trust is trust...
