I was driving the wagon last night and it sits low....real low....anyways I come rolling down my friends street and I see something run into the street but can't see anything.

It turned out to be a racoon....I am afraid to look under my car right now

I definitely agree that they committ suicide. There's thousands of the damn things in my parents neigborhood, and I've run over dozens in my day. You'll be cruising along and they dart out from the side of the road. You swerve, you hit them. You slam on the brakes, you hit them. Sometimes they commit mass suicide. 8 or 9 will run out at one time. I've killed 4 or 5 at once a couple of times.
