I've thought about doing stuff to the Saab, but then I get hit with a big bill to fix something on it...Looking to get rid of it.

I'm wrenching on a 1997 4runner. My parts pile right now consists of: full timing belt overhaul (all belts, pulleys, water pump, front cam seals and main seal, t-stat, etc), front lower balljoints, CV axle, inner and outer tie rod end (original ones are so rusted they can't be adjusted anymore).
I'm also half-way considering forgoing all that front suspension work and putting an old top-shift t-case in and an FJ80 axle under the front end instead. I would need to buy a 2nd car to drive during the operation though, so I'm a little iffy. My buddy is also semi-permanently borrowing my welder since he's working on a DIY airel atom doohicky (using the guts of my old civic).
Also just got the garage hooked up with air tools (finally!) I've had a busted old compressor since I bought the house and it took me 3 years to get around to getting it up and running.

finally got around to changing the oil and trans fluid after having the car sit in the shop all month. found a lot of shavings and a small piece of metal stuck to the drain plug magnet and more shavings on the trans plug magnet. :noes:
This reminds me...I need to check the oil in the Saab...

Swapping a HMO B16 in my buddies EG this weekend.
His LSVtec is on it's last leg. lol
Gotta put my suspension on my hatch next weekend, and then to finally go get my exhaust put together.
