I can believe 100K.

In parts of texas, a house like that would be around 100K.

My friends fathers custom built home 5000sq/ft was only 350K and that's with every upgrade possible.

 

i believed it i just wondered where he lives that it was so cheap...

 

My best friends mom has a 30 bedroom mansion that she paid $150k for. I've been inside that place and you can get lost very easily.

how much land? Just the house $500,000-750,000. The amount of land can change this.

 

26 miles east of downtown LA. 4 miles east of my house is Rowland Heights the newest and largest asian community and its growing rapidly but there is no houses, with interest rates at an all time low. Houses that were $310,000 in 1996 is now $658,000. Houses that were $140,000 last year is now $325,000
Houses that were $260,000 in 2001 is now $485,000.

Yet people especially Taiwan and China is coming over and paying ridiculous house prices, just to be close to Rowland Heights.:fawk:

One of my professors now 60+ bought his house for $24,000 back when he was young, and he laughs when he pays $300 property tax instead of $3000-4000K based on 1% property tax. Must be lucky.

 

Nope it was purchased early 90s. Its believable because when you live in the backwoods most people can't afford stuff like that. My uncle sold his farm 3 years back for $800 an acre, and there was 126 acres on the property. Just gotta realize that there are some parts where you can actually see miles of open land. My uncle now has only 12 acres of land and you can literally stand on the top of the mountain where he lives and see maybe 10-20 houses in the vicinity.
