Because the title of the thread is RX-8 vs. S2000, not "which rwd sports car that costs around $30k do you prefer?"

i say s2000. the accelleration of the rx8 seems sluggish on paper compared to the s2000. i'd think that the s2000 handles better too...:dunno:

btw, I havent driven either car. IBbootyflamesmeh4beingamagazinericer

Like I said before:

If you want a 2-seat roadster then get the S2000. If you want something with a modicum of practicality then get the RX-8.

Go out and drive em, pick which one you like.

You can *maybe* get a discount on the RX-8. I'm not sure how they're selling. If you're in a more temperate area then it's a good idea to buy an S2000 during the winter while convertibles are out of season. The dealers are more willing to haggle on the price to prevent the car from sitting on the lot for too long.

Never driven either. Have you?

I'm just not a honda worshiper. Granted this is a honda website, I grew up helping dad work on his 86 RX-7. Given my choice, I'd drive a rotary every day of my life.

And I just dont like the s2000. There are several cars I'd pick over it, some I have driven, some I have not.
