A solid 98% of import show cars are "rice." Rice wins shows.

WideBodyEK: I personnally usually don't consider wide body kits rice by themselves, considering I'm used to seeing wide body RX-7 race cars.

phht I get tired of this whole rice thing. In my opinion "rice" is in the persons attitude. If you build up a car with nothing but looks and then have the attitude that your car is fast because of these things then you are absolutely a ricer. I could care less about the wings, body kits, even the led washer nozzles. Everyone is entitled to do whatever they want to their car that they think looks good. Ive seen some seriously (in my opinion) hideous cars that would be considered "rice" in may peoples opinion, that have alot more money wrapped up into them than some genuinely fast cars.

Who cares what people think, do what you want. You can spend $7K making your car a whole 2 secs faster in the 1/4mile, you can make it look nice, or a mixture of both. What are your plans for the car? Will you be driving it everyday? Actually racing it (not pretending your a racer)? Weekend car?

There are rare and unexpected exceptions to that rule. Think of how much faster that car would be without all that aerodynamic drag holding you back.

i do not need it to be faster,..considering my actual drag car is already faster than my showcar,...i just love when people misjudge my showcar and they think that im "just another ricer"

Making close to 500whp is certainly impressive. I challenge anyone else with a body kit to prove they can make power like that. I doubt anyone else is. I'm just into the sleeper thing. I don't like body kits. They're expensive, go out of style too fast, and almost all of them are lesser quality than OEM parts.

About your sig... I'm interested in info about boosting a Tiburon, too. One of my friends just bought a brand new loaded 0-mile '04 with leather for $16k because the salesman accidentally backed into his Accord while he was on the lot. wned:

That 2.5L I've heard is an actual Hyundai motor, but I have found so many Mitsubishi parts on that car that I'm suspicious. It's hard to tell with all that cowling in the engine bay. Has anyone boosted a Tiburon 2.5L V6 successfully yet, and are the bottom ends really strong enough to handle it? I wouldn't boost the Mitsu 2.5 unless everything in the bottom end was aftermarket. It's a good looking car, though. And nobody would expect that car to be fast, either. I like the interior a lot, though.
