for some reason..everytime ive tried to take a shot of it on the ground the picture looks like a slur of pure blueness...rather than...the actual light...my camera...seems to translate the color that way... not sure why...

Congrats, they look as bad as they perform. When I see a car at night with glare like that, and the lights all out of alignment, the first thing that pops into my head is ghetto. Totally kills the cars appearance.

Hopefully a cop with more common sense than you pulls you over soon; protecting the other drivers whom you share the road with.

actually, you can't really tell glare when you're looking at the headlamps...

however, his 7k is a shit load brighter then your 12k... that translates to more being seen on the road... Thats because, like everyone in the thread has been saying, the higher the color temp, the lower the *useable* (keyword) light output will be....

good hid's:

bad hid's

I'm not saying its the HID kit itself... I'm still stuck on the fact that those are in JDM headlamps, and I've always thought those are not a good housing to stick HID's into, mainly due to their aim...

see, over in japan, they drive on the other side of the road... common knowledge... Now, what alot of people overlook, is the fact that warning signs and other crap are on the OPPOSITE side of the road, hence the beam pattern aiming to the left (ie, \\ ), instead of going to the right, like usdm headlamps (ie, // ).

now, I'll tell you what. I had a set of 96-98 ctr headlamps on my car before they got smashed. And I'd get highbeamed simi-frequently (at least once a week, which isn't good), and I had the damn things aimed as far down as they would go. I can't imagine how people oncomming to you can deal with it, but luckly, you don't live in texas

so thats your car on the left, correct? I bet your friend has USDM headlamps. Notice how your drivers side beam is brighter than your pass, but his pass beam is brighter than his drivers?

I'm not CERTAIN on this one, but I'm pretty sure all h4 (or d2s, or whatever the hell maxboost called the h4's) have a reflector in front of them, or at least in the US, they do. I know the usdm civic headlamps have those... I'm wondering if the lack of reflector is altering the beam....

should have gone with bmw retrofit h:

the car on the right is a jetta w/ edm headlights *their black housing*

yeh the 7000ks do a lot on the road..the 12000ks light up everything...for like a quarter mile down the road though, i like his hid's more than mine, but then it comes back to the fact, i actually bought them just for the color..
