I've used Greased Lightning on Headlights before...didn't damage them one bit. And I use G.L. on my headlights to clean them everyweek...hasn't done any harm yet. And if only take the paint off of a car if you let it soak for more than 5 minutes.

Why would greased lightening polish out 350grit sand marks?

Your best bet is to go get some sand paper in lighter and lighter grits. Then compound out the rest, and then follow up with a polish and then wax them babies.

Carquest sells 3M rubbing compound. Fine cut. Work it good work it good. Get the Fine cut.

why would you use 350...I would have used more along the lines of 600 wet sand...and taken my time.

I never said it would polish anything. I meant that Greased Lightning is good for cleaning lights.

Yeah that would have been nice to know when I asked the question the first time.

Maybe, but I wouldn't let it sit on them.

600 grit, then 1000, then 1500. After all that, polish with a buffer and some medium cut polish.

There's no maybe to it...it does clean. And I said in an earlier post to not let it sit for a long time...but even if it does, all it will do is dry up and you'll have to rinse it off. Especially if you delude it down some, but I don't.
