Default Riddance of Orange Peel?

I have Orange Peel from a bad clear coat covering from a paintjob, when I wash my car and have the water fill in the minor holes, it looks so nice :happysad:. But the orange peel comes back after. Well I haven't waxed it, but I got a question, would wax fill in those divets and create a level surface so it'll be a mirror shine?

Wax would not. A shiner surface makes orange peal and dings more noticable. This is why many people paint cars that are dinged and don't want to take the time to get the dings out white, or a lighter color.

Wetsanding is really the only way, short of a repaint. I wouldn't recomend wet sanding unless you know the thickness of the paint, and thickness of the clearcoat. If you go through the clear coat, then the paint is screwed. If it's a bad paint job, chances are the paint isn't thick at all. Or it's too thick to even bother. OR it doesn't even have a clear coat.

you could try a polisher(meant to fill small scratches swirls) -prolly wont work for fish eye's tho

a rubbing compound-- like using an abrasive puddy --also meant for fine marks tho

wetsanding is prolly gonna be your only choice tho like goober said. wetsand with like 1500 or even 2k and just do a lil at a time. see how it looks. using the rubbing compound after you sand it tho.. so you will have the gloss back otherwise it will be all dulled

Same thing thereabouts.

Still need to know the paint thickness.

Still need to compound and polish after.
