Default Orange strip under headlight removal?

I haven't even picked the car up yet but know what I want my first mod to be.

Is it possible to remove the orange strip under the headlight so I have totally clear headlamp housings?

I'll probably paint a thin coat of silver paint over the turn signal bulbs too to get rid of the orange.

If you have problems, check out www.accordv6.com too or www.torontoaccords.com for more DYI information. Good luck.

I'm planning to purchase UK spec Accord coupe headlights they have no amber pieces made by Honda--think of them as OEM clears If you know anyone in UK they can get them for you--mother *&^*&^ at honda won't let you order UK parts in the states. I'm picky and want perfect headlights with out the removal of the amber and the hassle.

Correct me if i am wrong but don't they drive on the right side in the UK. Well if they do getting the OEM headlights from there is not a good idea cause they're intended for RHD. So if you don't want to ppl flashing they're high beams at you don't get'em cause the light beam pattern is more directed to the left of the road therefore visibility would be reduced.

I did the same thing with my previous Audi. I bought euro spec lights. Car companies make european versions of the lights without the orange reflector because it is not required there. The UK is only one of many countries that use the euro spec lights and most of them drive on the same side of the road as we do.
My A4 euro lights had a tiny little switch inside the housing that moved the bulb and refelector ever so slightly to compensate for right or left side driving.

I'm willing to bet the euro accord lights are exactly the same.

Well that may be true, however I bet they still won't be as bad as many of the SUV on the road--some of those things have blinding light patterns. I don't think I have a choice since most aftermarket housings fit kinda funny-I'll stick with UK spec for now I guess
