window tinting...
...I currently have 35 percent tint all around except for my windshield.
Its pretty dark at night but now im thinking I want darker tints at least for the day time.
Instead of ripping out my existing tint. Can I get 20 percent tint and put it right ontop of the exisitng 35 percent? Also, how dark would it be?
thanks

that would make it around 7% tint
if you used 50% ontop of the 35% then it would be around 17% tint
not sure if they make 50% but i would do something lighter then 35%
if u use 35% again then it would make it 12% overall
i say just get it stripped and redo at whatever u want

i highly recommend u not putting it over your existing tint, it will look very very crappy....save the extra money to take off existing tint....way better in long run believe me

My worry is removing the rear tint. Since the defroster line is there. I have heard of people ripping it right off.
What would I have to use to remove it?

when i had my drivers window busted into a few weeks back, the drivers window now doesnt have the same tint as the others. eventhough the replacement window did come with a slight tint, its sitll not the same.
while i was there i asked the owner if he could just remove all of the tint off my car to it would match. he said " i can do all of the windows, but wont touch the rear window". i asked him why and he told me that its because of the redefroster lines and removing the tint will more than likely tear the lines off with it. My guess is that most places will not remove the rear because of liability issues.
