Turns an hour into minutes and is hard as fawk to find. Try a welding supply store. I got 4 kinds of rouge in a box for $9. That's how I discovered the black and I'm almost out of it. I guess I've gone black (insert your joke here).

Then I follow it with white rouge which is much finer and this is what puts the real mirror finish on things. I tried jeweler's rouge and it was a waste of time. That stuff is only good for precious metals. I should have known better. It might improve the shine that white rouge can leave on the part, but you won't really need to.

No black pillow cases yet, eh?

I'll have to go hunting for that stuff. Are these actually wheels or a polishing compound?

No black pillow cases. I take a shower after so... h: TMI.. :ugh:

Just got home... I knew someone would comment.. haha

The guy just called me this afternoon and said that my intake was done. I won't be able to pick that up until tomorrow, but I'll post pics when I do.

Yes. Black Rouge is a polishing compound. I use it on a hard wheel( the yellow tripple-stitched flannel kind). I use a medium wheel (white tripple-stitched flannel) for the White Rouge. But I didn't have any luck finding any compounds at a welder's supply store yesterday, or at an industrial supply store that sells everything... Even silver Anti-Seize compound in a SPRAY CAN. I thought that was cool... anyway....

This might be one of those things that you need to order on-line. I think there's a great link in my "DIY: The POLISHING" post from like 6 months ago. Those guys (whoever they are) will probably have it. I re-installed OS X because I got a few new hard drives, and lost all my dang bookmarks. I guess I was in a hurry to get it installed.

Then you're simply not dedicated enough. :snicker:

You mean you haven't yet woken up on your dusty garage floor at 4:00 in the morning in front of a running polisher, with a car part on your chest from where you passed out from boredom/fatique and then just crawled in the house into bed so you can wake up in 3 hours and do it some more?

Shower? Wussy!
