If anybody actually does put their trim peices in dot3 brake fluid let me know how it turns out.. I might be interested in this.. maybe you could do a write up for the DIY section..."de-ricing your interior"

Dipping ur pieces into brake fluid works, not great in certain places...like hard to reach areas, but it works....just needs a little scrubbing.....

I know this isn't exactly helpful, but I had to go through the same shit when I bought my car. Tons of things were painted white, and it looked like ass. Not only did he paint parts white, he did a TERRIBLE job of it. I spent WAY more time and money than I should have replacing and/or repainting various parts.

I've already searched the for sale forum as well as ebay...if you don't have the pieces yourself, then I would also appreciate any links you could provide to someone who IS selling them.

I would ask that the admin leave this post in the civic/del sol/el forum and not move it for a couple days until I have some responses. Reason being it gets more attention here, and 6th gen owners might not see it if I post in the wanted forum. After a little while feel free.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
I think you should swap out all the pieces to black except for the door controls and pocket. I would paint it in a matte color that looks like brushed-aluminum. But, shiny silver does not go well with me either.

I spent $100 on 4 center caps from the dealership.

$15 for those two peices is a steal. I'm sure honda would love to charge you $30-$40 for the same crap.

to put things into perspective, I paid $15 for a teg map light from a pick-and-pull. $25 for a set of OEM tweet pods and shitty OEM tweets. So $15 for both of those is reasonable.
