Default rim wax, cleaner, anything?

what do you guys suggest to keep rims looking their best? when i got my 00 accord in late 01, the previous owner couldn't park to save their lives. the stock rims were pretty badly scuffed up, but recently, i got my hands on a set of CL-S rims. i got 2 completely refinished and they look beyond factory fresh and i want to keep them like that.

after

The best you could do is just wash them regularly and keep the brake dust off the wheels as much as possible. Wax is not recommended on wheels (I forgot the reason, but that's what I heard).

:nono:

Don't use harsh cleaners that come in spray bottles. My best advice is after you've washed the car, take the wash water with a rag and wash the wheels. Works awesome.

I think Mother's sells a wheel wax, but a conventional polymer sealant will work just as well. Meguiars #20, Meguiars NXT and prestone has one all available at auto stores. If you want to order, Klasse All in one and Sealer Glaze is good, Blackfire, or Zaino. Personally, if I was looking in stores Megs NXT is probably the best wax you can buy. Try Walmart, if not it should pop up there sooner or later.

He didn't mention anything about using harsh cleaners :happysad:

But as said, soap and water are the only cleaners you should use.

Default Wheel polish

We're a new sponsor to this site, check out our finish protection. You can use it on wheels as well as your whole car. It makes cleaning a snap.
