Default Scratched Rim Repair

aight guys, heres what happened. one of my parents backed my car down the driveway to get their car out also. when they tried parallel parking against the sidewalk, they scraped my silver 5zigen 5ZR's agains the curb!! Does anyone know a place near San Gabriel that does really good repair? I called Discount Tire in El Monte where i got my wheels and they said they could fix it for $150 and about two days time. Do they do a good job or does anyone know somewhere cheaper and better?

150 for one rim? Or is that for more than one? Usually you are looking at anywhere from $80 to $150 per wheel to get repairs done. With a lot of wheels it ends up being cheaper just to replace the wheel. When my wife curbed my Katana Concept Fives (look pretty much like the 5ZR) I went to the web and bought two new ones for less than it would cost to repair mine. Now I've got two curbed Katana C5s in my garage with nothing to use them for. lol Oh well... Maybe I'll make bar stools out of them.

Anyway, check around for better prices. I can't suggest any because I don't know what you have locally. Most likely they won't be chains. I like Discount to buy new stuff from, but I don't know about having them fix things. I guess if you dont' find anywhere else then go for it...

yea, i think im going to look around. i went in yesterday and they're actually charging $125 a tire, but they outsource their shit, like someone comes by to pick the wheels up then brings them back. dammit, if only i knew who cuz discount tire is probably charging me a $25-$50 commission for themselves so itd be much cheaper if i could go direct.
