Default Nitrous on s2000

I originaly posted this moring in the prelude forums that i wanted to up the nitrous on my h22a accord to a 100 shot but no one seemd know anything about it. But on my way home from work today(my s2k is my daily driver) i raced a z28 and up until about 100-110 he was just barely pulling on me by like 2 cars. Which raised a question in my head. What if i took the nx wet kit off of my accord and put it on my s2k. Does anyone know how much nitrous the F20C can handle? I see people supercharging there s2k's and getting 100hp or more out of them with stock internals. I wonder if i could put a 100 shot on it, i doubt it would strain the engine more than a constant 7 or 8 psi would.

nitrous is annoying, just buy the supercharger if you want the extra power

#1 racing on the streets is stupid
#2 nitrous will rape your engine. if i had an s2k i wouldnt risk a 100 shot on it, even though it probaly could handle it.. a 75 shot would be safer for your engine and would give you the power you want..

I know someone selling a turbo kit for 6.5k CDN, so around 5k US. Around 300-400whp. PM me if you would like hookup. It works.

As for nitrous to each his own.....

Cheapest kit on the market is a comptech kit for 4500 off of ebay, if orderd from comptech its like 4900 without the after cooler, the vortech kit is over 5g's also. Aem ems alone is about 1500 depending on who you know sometimes a little cheaper sometimes more expensive. Then you have tuning time and dyno time which around here is about 100 dollars an hour. you can look at the very least 5 hours of tuning, injectors, fuel pump fuel rail, and the rest of the fuel componets are going to be at least another grand.

Bottom line i dont think you have ever priced aftermarket parts for the s2k, a few prices off the comptech web site Header $1000 CBE $1200. The after market treats these things like mercedes and BMW's not like civics. After i bought mine i quickly found out that every thing for them is high dollar. Somthing to consider for those wanting to buy them and then mod them.

A good reason not to mod it. Bolt-ons do squat. I just picked up an AEM EMS from someone and after I tune that i'll be lucky to get 15-20whp. I'm using decent parts too. Not even sure if I want to put it on. Friend with all Mugen set up paid roughly 10k for bolt-ons and 15whp?

Best bang for buck if you want to go fast in a straight line = FINAL GEARS. $1000 and you can pull 2-3+ car lengths on a stock S2 up to 4th!

It's only 500 RPM higher, or so i'm told by friend who has final gears.

If i'm going at 120 km/h I am roughly at 4k RPM. He would be going at 4.5k RPM.

I personally find that annoying enough, especially with an exhaust, but if you want the speed you make the sacrifices. If you get final gears you don't need bolt-ons. You pull 2-3 car lengths from a stand-still! Very noticeable in second-third-fourth.

1. Just because it's expensive and has a big brand name, doesn't mean it makes power. I knew a guy that had a spoon built B18C5...it only made 153 whp.

2. Nitrous is still the best bang for the buck in a straight line.

As for the guy who said "nitrous will rape your engine", go buy yourself a clue homey.

Tune the nitrous correctly, and it'll be fine...and fast. Proper timing, plugs, plug gap, maybe bump up the fuel slightly...I'd put at least a 75 shot on it.
