I had an integra gsr but i needed MORE VTEC so i got the s2000! there was one thing that i noticed on my car that was odd when i let my foot off the gas around 4200 to about 2000 rpm if its in gear it makes a kinda loud odd noise.. any ideas?? the car has 60k miles and i bought an additional warranty for 120k. lmk Thanks... love the car... sooo badass

As for the noise, can you describe it a little better so the S2K folks in here will have an easier time diagnosing it?

 

Congrats on the car...you will love it. As far as the noise, what kind of noise, and where is it coming from?? Also, what year is your car?? Some of the early S2000's had a 'clunking' sound that came from the rear end of the car. There was a service bulletin on it, and if you have a warranty it should be no problem. Let me know if I can help.

 

ok if the car is in gear it and i let off the gas all the way around 4krpm it starts to make like a noise that gets a little bit louder around 3k rpm and starts to quiet down by 2k rpm it sounds like it might come from the driveshaft.. my integra made a noise goin in reverse you all know that noise the gear wine its kiiiiiiiinda like that but a little deeper and not as loud... its pretty hard to explain.... the car drives perfect just that noise is annoying

 

oh yeah its an 01 s2k and the noiise sounds like its in by the shifter or trans i was thinkgin maybe a bad motormount or somthing.. it doesnt do it in neutral.. 60k miles on the car
