hey all, check engine light is on and wont go off after manual reset attempts. so, I understand that the vtec valve has a tendency to go bad on these cars. what is the procedure for jumping the com port to read trouble signs on a 2002 RSX (non S).

any word on TSB for check engine lights, the car is out of warranty.

 

Take it to Autozone...They'll jump it for free

 

got the procedure. anyone got a link to trouble codes, and where is the/ what does the vtec selenoid look like on these cars.

gotta be that selenoid I can feel the car stumbling a bit, kinda like the clutch is slipping intermitently.

Got autozone to read some codes, this is what i came up with.

1122 Fuel Air Metering
also called: TPS inconsistent with MAF sensor low voltage
or: TPS higher than expected

1166 Fuel Air Metering
no other info available on any site

1167 Fuel Air Metering
no other info available on any site

1078
no other info available on any site

anyone else seen any of these codes anywhere else? or have a more reliable site to look up codes....

I think you need a new TPS or MAF sensor.....pretty easy fix
